Polishing
If you ever notice your glass losing it’s sparkle, it’s time to give it a quick polish to keep it looking its best!
I prefer to use Clarity Wax (available on Amazon here).
You’ll want to find a stable, level surface, 2-3 clean rags, and toothbrush(es) and/or a tooth pick.
Place a rag on your workspace for your piece to rest. Then, shake your bottle of wax well for a few seconds. Drip some wax across the front of your piece, and with a clean rag or toothbrush, lightly wipe the wax all across the front of your piece. You just want a light coat.
Do the same for the back.
Flip your piece to the front and let the wax dry until it is noticeably hazy and no longer wet (take a smoke/snack break, it takes a minute).
Once the wax is dry, use a clean rag to gently but thouroughly buff the excess wax off your piece in small sections, focusing on the solder lines.
When the majority of your wax is removed, use a clean toothbrush or toothpick to remove any left-over wax in the corners/edges of the solder lines.
Wipe one more time with your rag, and your piece will look shiny and new!

Removing "White Mold"
Don’t sweat the white stuff!
White mold isn’t actually mold, it’s miniscule lead dust particles accumulating over time. In these quantities, it’s harmless as long as you aren’t licking the solder lines for breakfast each morning.
White mold is also very easy to remove.
With #0000 steel wool, or a clean, firm toothbrush, give your solderlines a gentle dry scrub - focusing on the areas most affected by the white mold. You’ll see it should gently buff away.
Once your piece is free of debris, I recommend a quick wash in warm soapy water, followed by a thourough polishing to prevent white mold accumulation in the future.
Always take care to work with a gentle hand to avoid any accidental breakage.
